Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 1, 2026  ·  Last updated: August 31, 2026

1.The short version

We collect the information you type into our interest form, plus ordinary website analytics. That is it. There is no DENNIS app to sign into yet, so there is no account data, no location tracking, and no information about the person you care for beyond what you choose to tell us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use it to build the testing groups, to keep you updated about DENNIS, and to understand who needs this and where.

You can leave at any time. Unsubscribe from any email, or write to us and we will delete your information.

The rest of this page is the detailed version. If anything here is unclear, ask us — [email protected].

2.Who we are and what this covers

Find With Dennis LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) is the company building DENNIS. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

This Privacy Policy covers information we collect through this website and its forms (the “Site”), and through email or other messages you send us in response to it.

This policy does not cover the DENNIS platform itself. DENNIS is in development and is not available for use. When the platform launches, it will have its own privacy policy addressing the very different kinds of information a live safety platform handles. You will be asked to review and agree to that policy separately before you use it. Nothing in this policy gives us permission to collect anything beyond what the Site collects today.

This policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions.

3.Information you give us

When you submit the interest form or contact us, we collect what you provide. Depending on which group you select, that may include:

CategoryExamples
Identifiers Your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), and city, state, and ZIP or postal code.
Role information Which group you belong to — family or caregiver, community volunteer, business or organization, first responder, ASD professional, or provider or facility — and details relevant to it.
Professional and organizational details Organization or agency name, your job title or role, department or discipline, professional credentials you tell us about, and organization size or type.
General context you choose to share Your relationship to the person you support (for example, “parent” or “caregiver”), the general population you serve, and anything you write in an open comment field.
Preferences and consents Whether you agreed to email updates, whether you separately opted in to text messages, and any later opt-out.
Correspondence The content of emails or messages you send us and our replies.

Providing this information is voluntary. If you leave optional fields blank, you can still join the interest list — we may simply know less about where and how to test.

4.Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours and our service providers automatically collect limited technical information when you visit:

  • IP address and approximate general location derived from it (typically city or region level);
  • browser type and version, operating system, device type, and screen size;
  • pages you viewed, time spent, links clicked, and the page or search that referred you;
  • date and time of your visit;
  • diagnostic information if something on the Site errors.

We use this to understand which regions and which groups the message is reaching, to keep the Site working, and to protect it against abuse. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with your form submission to build a behavioral profile.

5.Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies, set by our website and form platform, which are required for pages and forms to load and submit correctly and to guard against spam and fraudulent submissions.
  • Analytics cookies, which help us count visits and understand which pages people read. Where required by law, these are used only with your consent.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run retargeting or cross-site advertising pixels on this Site. If that ever changes, we will update this section before turning anything on, and we will provide a consent mechanism where the law requires one.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the interest form from working. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where the law requires it.

6.How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • add you to the interest list and manage it;
  • plan the regional rollout and decide which regions to open next;
  • notify you when testing opens in your area;
  • contact you about DENNIS: development updates and announcements;
  • respond to your questions, messages, and requests;
  • understand where the need is: how many people in each group, in which regions;
  • improve the Site and the product, including by considering feedback you send;
  • maintain security, prevent spam, fraud, and abuse, and troubleshoot problems;
  • comply with law and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

We may create aggregated or de-identified statistics — for example, “X families and Y first responders across Z counties have joined” — and use or publish those. Aggregated data cannot reasonably be used to identify you, and we will not attempt to re-identify it.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

7.Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on these legal bases:

  • Consent — for marketing emails and text messages, and for non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — for operating and securing the Site, understanding demand, and responding to your messages, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.

8.How we share information

We share personal information only in these situations:

  • Service providers. Companies that operate the Site and our communications on our behalf — our website, form, and customer-relationship platform; email and text-message delivery providers; hosting and content delivery; and analytics. They may process your information only on our instructions and for the purposes described here, under contract.
  • Professional advisers. Our attorneys, accountants, and insurers, where they need the information to advise us.
  • Legal requirements. Where we are required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
  • Business transfer. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case the recipient must continue to honor this policy or notify you before any materially different use.
  • With your direction. Where you ask us to share information, or otherwise consent.

We do not share your information with volunteers, first responders, agencies, or any other interest-list participant. Being on the list does not make you visible to anyone else on it.

9.Children and information about minors

Please do not send us details about a child through this Site.

The interest form does not ask for a child’s name, date of birth, address, photograph, diagnosis, or any other identifying detail — and you should not provide any of it in an open comment field. Telling us your role (for example, “parent of an autistic child”) is all we need at this stage.

The Site is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act we do not seek it. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Site, we will delete it promptly.

If you believe a child has given us information, or you have submitted identifying details about a minor and want them removed, contact [email protected] and we will delete them.

10.Sensitive and health-related information

DENNIS serves communities where health and disability information is part of daily life. We have deliberately designed this Site so that we do not need any of it yet.

Please do not submit diagnoses, medical records, medication details, behavioral histories, IEP documents, or similar sensitive information through this Site — about yourself or anyone else. If you send it anyway, we will not use it for any purpose other than responding to you, and we will delete it once we have.

Find With Dennis LLC is not a covered entity or a business associate under HIPAA, and information you send us through this Site is not protected health information under that law. Do not treat this Site as a secure channel for clinical information.

11.Marketing emails and text messages

If you join the interest list, we will email you about DENNIS. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect promptly. You can also write to us and we will remove you.

If you gave us a mobile number and separately opted in to text messages, we may text you about DENNIS. Text consent is never required to join the interest list. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. We do not share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties for their own marketing. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services.

We may still send you occasional non-marketing messages — for example, a material change to this policy or to our Terms.

12.How long we keep information

We keep interest-list information while the list is active and for a reasonable period afterward, so we can tell you what happened with the product you signed up for. In practice we intend to review the list at least annually and delete records that are no longer relevant.

If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will delete it, except that we may keep a minimal suppression record — typically your email address alone — so that we do not accidentally contact you again, and we may keep information we are legally required to retain.

Automatically collected technical information is kept for a shorter period, generally no longer than needed for security and analytics.

13.How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the limited information we hold — encrypted transmission, access limited to people who need it, reputable service providers, and multi-factor authentication on the accounts that hold the list.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information and the law requires notice, we will notify you and any required regulator without undue delay.

14.Your privacy rights

Wherever you live, we will honor these requests to the extent we can verify them:

  • Know and access — ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correct — ask us to fix information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete — ask us to delete your personal information.
  • Portability — get a copy in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Opt out — stop marketing emails or texts, or withdraw consent you gave.

To make a request, email [email protected] from the address you gave us, or write to the mailing address in Section 20. We will verify your identity in a way proportionate to the request, respond within the time the applicable law allows — generally 45 days, extendable where permitted — and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any right. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

15.Virginia residents

If you are a Virginia resident, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act gives you the rights listed in Section 14, including the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling.

We do not sell personal data, do not process it for targeted advertising, and do not use it for profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

Right to appeal. If we decline your request, we will tell you why. You may appeal that decision within a reasonable period by emailing [email protected] with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond in writing within sixty (60) days with our decision and the reasoning behind it. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to the Virginia Attorney General at oag.state.va.us.

16.Other U.S. state rights

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights, including access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights, along with the right to appeal a denial where their state provides one. We extend the rights described in Section 14 to all U.S. residents regardless of state.

California residents: we have not sold or shared personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA in the preceding twelve months, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit. The categories we collect, the purposes we use them for, and the categories of recipients are described in Sections 3, 4, 6, and 8.

17.Users outside the United States

We operate in the United States, and any information you provide is processed and stored here. Privacy laws in the United States may differ from those where you live. By using the Site or submitting the form, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where a transfer mechanism is required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses with our providers.

18.Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites and resources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read the privacy policy of any site you visit from ours.

19.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and the law develop. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. For material changes — in particular any change to how we use or share your information — we will provide prominent notice on the Site and, where we have your email address and the law requires it, notify you directly before the change takes effect.

We will not apply a materially different use to information we already collected without your consent where consent is required.
